Reigate Grammar School was founded in 1675.

The school first accepted girls in 1976 and became fully co-educational in 1993.

In 2003, the school merged with Reigate St. Mary's Preparatory and Choir School.

There are about 850 pupils in the school, of whom 40% are girls.
