General Guidance

For entry to Reigate Grammar School in September 2009 or later
Please click here for details of entry to Reigate St. Mary's Preparatory School (ages 2 to 10).

Pupils are normally admitted to the school at the ages of 11, 13 or 16, although vacancies may occasionally occur at other ages. New pupils normally enter the school in September. Follow the links for more detail.

• The majority of our pupils enter at age 11 (Year 7). They will come from a mixture of local primary and preparatory schools. We usually take about 120 pupils at age 11.

• A small number of pupils enter the school at age 13 (Year 9), usually from prep schools, or because they have moved into the area.

• We also accept pupils into the Sixth Form (Year 12). There is no set number of places, and many pupils enter for our Sixth Form Scholarship Exam.

Parents may register a child at any time. There is a Registration Fee (non-returnable) of £50 which should be sent with the completed registration form. Acceptance of this fee does not guarantee the offer of a place.

References
In advance of any entrance examination or interview, we will always ask each candidate's current school for a written report. It is therefore important that parents inform their child's current school that they have lodged an application with us.
