Tuition fees

The fees for the Academic Year 2023/24 are £7,510 for the First and Second Forms and £7,665 per term for the Third to Sixth Forms.

Fee bills are payable in full by the first day of term by termly direct debit (collected on the first day of term), which is the school’s preference, or by direct credit into the school’s bank account.

The school operates a ‘fees in advance’ scheme for those parents who wish to reduce the cost of their child’s education by making an advance lump sum payment to the school. There is also a monthly payment option via the school fee finance provider ‘School Fee Plan’.

Reigate Grammar School is an appointed representative of Premium Credit Limited which is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. School Fee Plan is a trading style of Premium Credit Limited.

Credit is subject to status, affordability, terms and conditions apply. Over 18s only. Failure to keep up with your repayments could result in your agreement being cancelled.

The charges for extras such as insurances and coach transport to/from school are added to the termly fee bill. Other additional items, such as school trips, may be added to the parents’ online payment system during a given term. GCSE, A Level and other external examination fees are payable in addition to the tuition fee. The tuition fee is subject to alteration at one term’s notice.

Meals
The school offers a wide variety of food for break and lunch, which is cooked on site by our caterers, Chartwells. We operate a biometric cashless system for purchases from the dining hall, which provides pupils with the flexibility to select from a wide range of hot and cold options each day.

Billed termly by the individual music teacher.

Personal accident insurance
Due to the nature of contact sports and physical activities that pupils participate in whilst at RGS, it is mandatory that each pupil be covered. Consequently, the school covers each pupil through Marsh Insurance Brokers. There is no charge for this insurance.

Fees refund scheme
Under this insurance scheme fees are refunded for any continuous period of five days or more that a pupil is absent from school due to illness. This scheme is run on an ‘opt in’ basis and the premium per term is 0.82% of the term’s tuition fee. Click here for further details.

Pupils’ Personal Effects insurance

The Pupils’ Personal Effects (PPE) insurance scheme covers important belongings like clothing, laptops, musical instruments or sports kit. The scheme provides cover for loss, damaged or stolen items during term time and whilst on school trips. An amount of £7.73 is charged automatically each term unless the school is informed in writing that this cover is not required.

Sibling discounts
A discount of five per cent of the full fees is provided for each second child; and ten per cent for each subsequent child, educated simultaneously either at RGS, Reigate St Mary’s Preparatory School or Chinthurst School.
