U12 Girls Celebrate South Surrey Athletics Victory

Reigate Grammar’s Under 12 girls returned to the school victorious after being crowned winners of South Surrey Athletics. The team won every track event in the competition and accumulated 104 points to win. Closest rivals Caterham School achieving second place with 66 points.

Commented Mrs Rebecca Wickham, PE teacher and team coach: “The team’s huge margin can be attributed to an excellent effort from the girls and a particularly successful day on the track. In fact in 2 races, 70m hurdles and 100m we lead home the field with our girls taking 1st and 2nd place! This is an outstanding achievement. The effort was epitomised by Darcy Grant the team captain who lead by example by coming 1st in both 800m and 1500m. I feel extremely proud of all the girls who have done so well.”
