Netball and Hockey tour
to Canada
A party of senior students
visited British Columbia, Canada, over the
Easter break. The group consisted of 35 students and 5 members
of staff, with boys and girls hockey together with netball
being the sports undertaken. Matches were keenly contested
and all teams had some success; the boys hockey team in particular
did well with 3 wins and 1 draw in their 4 matches.
Aside from the sporting activity, the group were able to
go whale watching off the coast of Vancouver Island and visit
Whistler Mountain, one of the venues for the 2010 winter
Olympics.
The school were delighted to receive sponsorship from local
actuary firm Watson Wyatt and proudly wore the company’s
logo on their team jackets for the duration of the tour.
