Reigate Grammar School (RGS) is one of the UK’s leading independent schools, with a long-standing reputation for academic success and a well-rounded education. RGS was awarded UK Independent School of the Year by the Sunday Times. We also celebrated our 350th anniversary, having been founded by Henry Smith in 1675.

RGS China, Nanjing
RGS International established its first international partnership in Nanjing with Excellent Education in 2018. The school, Bona Sonority School, serves pupils aged 2–18 and is located on a 25-acre site at Qilin Innovation Park. Since opening its kindergarten in 2020, the school has expanded year by year and continues to grow towards a planned capacity of 2,400 students.
The school’s approach brings together Chinese and British curricula and educational practices, with a focus on developing globally minded students with a strong sense of cultural identity.
RGS Vietnam, Hanoi
Reigate Grammar School Vietnam is a not-for-profit international school in Hanoi for pupils aged 3–18, combining a British independent school education with Vietnamese values. It serves both local and international families and offers International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International courses.
Following a re-brand in 2021 with RGS International, the school has developed a very strong position in the region with high academic and co-curricular standards. Staff and pupils regularly engage with RGS UK and other RGS International partner schools through music, sport, student-led activities and cultural visits.
In 2025, Ms Mai Bich Thuy (Founder and CEO) was named winner of the prestigious TES Leadership Award for International Schools.

RGS Saudi Arabia, Riyadh
Reigate Grammar School Riyadh is a Kindergarten to Year 13 British international school which opened in 2022. A collaboration Agreement was signed between RGS International and ADECO (Ethraa Holdings) in 2021. It operates within the Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s International Schools Attraction Programme and integrates academic and pastoral practices from RGS UK.
The school has grown rapidly, with over 2300 students enrolled with the second Riyadh campus opened in 2024. It forms part of a wider RGS International plan for expansion across Saudi Arabia. RGS Riyadh Schools are internationally recognised, being active members of COBIS and BSME, and accredited under the UK Department for Education’s British Schools Overseas scheme. It is the first Riyadh school to be given the prestigious IQM Award for excellent practice. A recent highlight was to be listed as the only international school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the SPEARS School Index 2026.

RGS UAE
In June 2024, RGS International entered a collaboration with Bright Capital to establish several K–13 schools in the UAE. The first school, located in the Masaar development in Sharjah and to be built by Arada, is scheduled to open in 2027, with a second school planned for Dubai, and a third in Abu Dhabi in the 2028–29 academic year. RGS Sharjah will be the first British international school in the Emirate. The first nursery school within the Aljada development in Sharjah opened in January 2026, the first of four planned.
These developments form part of a longer-term programme of growth in the region, to create high-quality British international schools inspired by the heritage, values and educational approach of Reigate Grammar School UK.

RGS Cambodia, Phnom Penh
Reigate Grammar School Phnom Penh was founded in partnership with the Sunfuture Education Group, with a new campus opening in summer 2025. The school has attracted significant interest in the region and continues to grow and now welcomes more than 350 students.
The development reflects growing demand for British international education in Cambodia and marks an important step in RGS International’s expansion in the region. The purpose-built, premium campus offers university-standard facilities, with students enrolled across the K–13 age range.

RGS Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur opened in August 2025 in partnership with the Beaconhouse Group as a premium K–12 British international school. Following an initial merger with Newlands School and subsequent re-brand, the school is operating from a re-developed premium campus which opened in August 2025 with excellent facilities.
The school has seen strong early growth with over 420 students. It provides boarding facilities with a new boarding house currently in planning for September 2027.
RGS Turkey, Istanbul
In November 2025, RGS International signed a multi-school partnership with the Ugur Schools group to establish the first British branded schools in the country. The first campus in Istanbul is due to open in September 2027. The aim is to establish at least four schools in the territory by 2032.

A collaborative approach
RGS International partnerships draw on the expertise of colleagues across the RGS group pf schools in the UK. Leaders, teachers and specialist staff work alongside partner schools, sharing insight and best practice across academic and pastoral areas. This collaborative approach ensures that partnerships are both rigorous and supportive, while also enriching the experience of our own staff and students.
