Foundation Laying Ceremony with Sir Peter Harrison KGCN CBE

We were delighted that Sir Peter Harrison, his son Nick Harrison and Andrew Ross from the Peter Harrison Foundation were able to join us for a ‘Foundation Laying’ ceremony on the 24 March 2016. Sir Peter placed a section of concrete into the foundation dug outs, putting a formal stamp on the start of the build.

“This major capital development will be transformational. We are honoured that Sir Peter Harrison CBE and the Peter Harrison Foundation are supporting this project with their generous donation of £4 million. Their generous gift will enable the school’s biggest ever capital building programme to take place over the coming year.” Shaun Fenton, Headmaster.

Sir Peter Harrison commented:

“This important building will be at the centre of the Reigate Grammar School campus and community, providing first-class learning facilities for generations of talented children. I am delighted to be able to lay some of the foundations today for what will be a highly impressive and iconic building. The Peter Harrison Foundation is proud to support this project and to continue with its close and long-standing relationship with RGS.”
