During the Easter holidays six RGS students made their way to Dún Laoghaire in Ireland for the largest and most international Model United Nations conference RGS has ever attended. Students from over 20 countries, from South Africa to Peru and Lebanon spent four days discussing global issues and strengthening their leadership skills.

Despite the stiff competition of being in a room with 90 fellow students, RGS delegates did extremely well with Benedict S, Fraser C and Jo W picking up individual awards. Meanwhile George B proved himself an outstanding judge in the Model International Court of Justice, deciding a case before the real life ICJ. Overall, our Angola team also won one of the Highly Commended delegation awards, marking them as one of the eight best teams at the conference. Huge thanks must go to Mr Sergeant, Mrs Sergeant and Miss Williams for accompanying the team.
