CCF Leavers Parade

Upper Sixth Form Cadets and Flt Lt Mahoney leave RGS with a fun send off from the CCF

The Guard of Honour started the parade on Tuesday as a mark of respect to the cadets and staff that are leaving the school this year. Petty Officer George Hopkins, Petty Officer Daniel Telford, Leading Cadet Rachel Buchan, Regimental Sergeant Major Zebulon Bond, and Warrant Officer Nicholas Ingram were some of the first cadets to do Recruits Weekend, MOI Cadre and NCO Training Weekends and they excelled in all of them. It really does appear that every year our seniors just get better and better and the fact that these cadets have taken on the leadership within their sections and the contingent in the way they have is just unbelievable. We are so proud of all they have achieved and the huge commitment they have made to the CCF.

Flt Lt Mahoney leaves as Head Porter and we will miss seeing him on a daily basis however we are delighted that he will remain Officer Commanding the RAF Section.

To develop their skills in preparation for Field Day and to just have a great time, cadets competed in a laser tag tournament on Broadfield amid dust, cam nets, trees there were was a real sense of team spirit and lots of laughs. More photos from the evening can be found on our Facebook page.
