AASE Programme nomination for Maya

Congratulations to Maya Y on her nomination to join the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme, which she has now accepted.  The AASE is funded by the Education Funding Agency and England Hockey and aims to ensure top young athletes seeking to perform at the highest level receive the support and training they need to succeed in elite sport.

Maya hopes the training, which develops amongst other things effective decision making skills, self organisation and the ability to adapt under constant high pressure, will help to prepare her for a life in medicine.
