Congratulations to Upper Sixth Formers Connie BS and Eleanor M on achieving Distinctions in the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls. A special mention must go to Connie who achieved 100% and in doing so qualified for the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1.

Connie has also qualified for the national final of Who Wants to be a Mathematician? Connie qualifies as one of only four students in the UK, and as defending champion, she will now compete in a live final in London on November 24 to determine who will represent the UK and travel to San Diego for the WWTBAM Championship on January 13.

Over 4000 students have taken part in the competition from across the UK, USA and Canada including 10 RGS students. We wish Connie all the best in the live final and are extremely proud of her for making it to this stage of the competition once again!
