T&P Christianity and Conflict Lectures – Fourth Form Trip to CLFS

On Wednesday 22 November, Fourth Form T&P students went to a Christianity and Conflict conference at City of London Freemen’s School. Throughout the day there were numerous presentations including ones about Christian Ethics, the Sanctity of Life and the Life of Jesus. We also had the chance to participate and listen to others’ opinions in debating euthanasia.

Some of these philosophical lectures were delivered by Peter Vardy who has written many books on matters relating to religious studies and philosophy. These lectures helped us to further our understanding and extend our knowledge of the GCSE course.

Overall, we had a great day and we learnt that philosophy is very important in today’s world and affects us all in many ways.
