Strings Recital

Tuesday evening saw a new addition to the musical calendar which focused on solo string playing. Musicians from across the year groups delighted an appreciative audience with a high-calibre programme of great musical contrasts.

There were many highlights including Isabel A (Fifth Form) performing a piece representing a rushing stream on harp, Ruby E (Fifth Form) playing a dramatic Hungarian piece on violin, Miranda S (Second Form) playing a spirited Argentinian violin solo, and a quartet of sisters Anna A (Upper Sixth Form), Juliet A (Fifth Form), Rosalind A (Third Form) and Polly A performing ABBA arrangements to end the concert.
