Sir Malcolm Rifkind, Former Cabinet Minister, Visits RGS

Monday saw the latest of our series of Beyond the Classroom talks, with a visit to Reigate Grammar by former Cabinet Minister, Sir Malcolm Rifkind.

During his talk, Sir Malcolm provided insights from his time as member of the government, contrasting the leadership styles of Margaret Thatcher and John Major, through to his thoughts about the current political scene and Theresa May’s challenges in steering the country through Brexit. The audience of over 100, including a number from Reigate School, asked some excellent questions ranging from the recent Russian attack in Salisbury through to his thoughts about President Trump.
