Alan Turing Cryptography Competition Success

Congratulations to Harrison B and Ahmad H whose team finished 9th overall in the 2018 Alan Turing Cryptography Competition. The competition is run by the University of Manchester with over 1000 teams consisting of students from First to Fifth Form taking part each year. The competition ran from January to April with students needing to break codes and ciphers each week under timed pressure. Not only did both the boys do fantastically well to finish 9th overall, they were in fact the fastest team to solve the clues for Chapter 6 of the competition, winning them both £15 worth of Amazon Vouchers.

Congratulations to all the teams that took part from RGS who are now doubt already looking forward to next years’ competition.
