Schools Aquathlon success

Tuesday saw RGS entering the Schools Aquathlon for the first time. Students took part in either the sprint distance race (100m swim, 1000m run) or the olympic distance race (200m swim, 2000m run). The event was incredibly enjoyable to watch as our entrants went straight from their swim in to transition to battle with the putting on of trainers with wet feet and then straight on to their run.

All RGS students did themselves proud with a number of medals awarded.

RGS’s sprint distance competitors:

Gus L (1st),Eva M (1st), Elis K (2nd), Noah W (4th), Myles H (5th), Devon M (6th), Abbie S (20th), Maddie B (21st) and Lily F (23rd).

RGS olympic distance competitors:

Ellie H (3rd), Lukas K (4th), Lucy D (5th), Emily B (6th), Robbie H (6th), Ioan K (7th), Gemma S (15th) and Eva P (18th).

This was a fabulous event and we are already looking forward to next year.
