Charity Film Night for the Tuberous Sclerosis Association

As many of you will know, there was a charity film night for the Lower School last week which was set up in order to raise money for the Tuberous Sclerosis Association. We all had an opportunity to learn about tuberous sclerosis in a recent church assembly and we learnt that it affects one of the family’s in our own RGS community, so we were really happy to be raising money and awareness for this important cause.

There were five movie choices that included; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Curse of the Black Pearl, Dunkirk, Pitch Perfect and Ghostbusters. I decided to go for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I don’t regret my decision! £5 paid for a range of refreshments which made the film that little bit more enjoyable. All this, as well as knowing that your money has gone to a good cause.Tuberous sclerosis affects many people and it’s good to know that our enjoyment will also result in benefits for those suffering from it.
