Second Form District Athletics

At the end of June the Second Form girls’ and boys’ Athletics teams had a very successful competition at the annual District Athletics event. 14 schools took part with 28 competitors competing in each discipline.

In the girls’ event Michelle O won both the shot and the 300m and Juliette CW achieved a massive PB in the shot to make the event RGS’s highest points winner. Eva M came 3rd in the 1500m and Gemma S 8th to again score big points.

The boys scored 10 points in the triple-jump with Finlay MC and Teddy MD finishing 3rd and 5th respectively. James B came 3rd in the high jump and Will G 3rd in the long jump.

Overall the girls won their competition and the boys team were 2nd, a hugely successful day for all.
