GASP Motor Project

For the last year Theo H has spent every Monday evening learning motor mechanics at the GASP Motor Project, a local charity in Albury. During the day GASP teaches motor mechanics to youngsters who are on probation or have been referred by the police; in the evenings ordinary teenagers can attend.

Theo and the Monday evening team have built , amongst other projects, an electric car which they raced in the Green Power events on the Top Gear circuit at Dunsfold and also at Goodwood. They did really well coming fifth in their category and in September won the Spirit of Green Power award for their super budget but efficient and successful design.

Theo has been invited to receive an award for his work at GASP at an award ceremony being hosted by McLaren at the McLaren Technology Centre on the evening of 6 November. As part of this special evening he gets a tour of the amazing factory.
