Issy H Triathlon Success

Congratulations to Issy H who has been offered a place in Triathlon England’s South East Regional Academy. Issy went through three stages of trials beginning with submitting an application with all her sporting achievements and times along with her ambitions. Following this she faced two weekends of trials, after which she was offered one of only five academy places on offer.

Issy has also been competing in Egypt over at the World Biathle Championships where she won two silver medals. In the mixed relay on the Thursday Issy and her partner finished in second place in a tough competition. Issy’s individual race was next however the night before she had food poisoning and was very unwell, She got up the next morning and could hardly run, but was determined to race as for the team event three finishers are needed. Amazingly, she battled through earning the team another silver medal!
