RGS Drama Presents Molly and the Stardust

Wednesday 5-Saturday 8 December 2018, 7:30pm

“This show soars deliriously high and gloriously far. Beautiful storytelling”
“An absurdly funny and fantastical journey”
“Miraculous. Spectacle, wit and joy spill out of this production.”
“This play is storytelling at its most magical. A perfect theatrical treat for anyone who simply doesn’t want to grow up!”

A young orphan and his mates are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by King Zarboff. They know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, containing a precious otherworldy cargo. At sea, the boys are discovered by a 13 year old girl called Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training, who realises that the trunk holds a celestial substance called Starstuff. This stuff is so powerful, it must never fall into the wrong hands. When the ship is taken over by pirates – led by the fearsome Black Stache, (who dreams of world domination), the journey quickly becomes fraught with danger.

This fabulous story is the prequel to Peter Pan – both hilarious and heart-warming, the play reveals the origins of Wendy, the Lost Boys, their piratical nemesis Captain Hook, and a far-off place known as Neverland.

This Christmas, be sure to come along to RGS to meet: a mollusk army, some singing mermaids, a tropical island, a flying cat, a croaking crocodile and some pirates with a lot of swash ‘n’ buckle!

This is a spectacular story with music and puppetry: perfect for families and all ages.

“This is gonna’ be one awfully big adventure!”
