Piano Masterclass with Charles Owen

This week The Music department was delighted to host professor Charles Owen for a piano masterclass for students. Professor Owen performs internationally as well as regularly broadcasting on the BBC and teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The RGS piano students prepared a great selection of music including Chopin, Debussy, Brahms and Dvorak, and benefited from an inspiring range of detailed musical and technical advice.

It was a pleasure to host an audience of piano students from RGS and visitors from RSM, Banstead prep school and Walton on the Hill. Congratulations to Matty O, Liang Z, Seoyun C, Janith G, Liam J and Lucy B on their piano performances.
