RGS Boys reach England Hockey south finals

Last Friday the U14 boys travelled to Alleyns to play in the England Hockey south quarter-final. The game was tense and end to end. At the final whistle it was a draw meaning it had to go to penalty flicks. This was a nerve racking situation but the RGS boys kept their cool and won the flick 3-1. This means they qualify for the England Hockey south final – the first time ever for a boys team at RGS. Good luck next week boys!

On an extremely windy day at Hartswood the First Form boys did not lose a game in the pool round and then won their semi-final. This led them to a final against St Georges. Unfortunately this was the first game they lost but they had done enough to qualify for the south final – the first time for an U12 RGS boys’ team. Many congratulations to the boys and good luck in the south finals!
