RGS Eco Committee Great Big School Clean

Last Friday students from the RGS Eco Committee took part in the ‘Great Big School Clean’ as part of an environmental awareness month run by the charity Keep Britain Tidy. The committee split into two groups, each with an important agenda. The first group was tasked with picking up rubbish from behind the swimming pool and collecting a tally of what they found. The second group set off around the school site to complete a bin survey for the new multi-use recycling bins. The Eco Committee took this opportunity to review the current litter and recycling problem at RGS and came up with excellent ideas about how to make an active change in our own school grounds and community.
