History trip to Berlin
Third and Fourth Form students experienced a wonderful study visit to Berlin during the Easter holiday. They learnt a great deal about Germany’s colourful and turbulent past and benefitted from the company of two expert guides throughout the trip.
Students visited the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Fuhrer Bunker among other key sights. They addressed terror and opposition in Nazi Germany through visits to Sachsenhausen concentration camp and the 1936 Olympic Stadium. There was also time for recreation in the form of an evening’s bowling and some souvenir shopping.
