Reigate and Banstead Writes Competition Success
Congratulations to Ellie B in First Form who has been awarded a Highly Commended prize in the Reigate and Banstead Writes competition, organised by the staff of the Warwick School library. This is a local short story competition, open to all students who go to school in the borough of Reigate and Banstead and who are in school years 5 to 9 (Third Form).
The task is to produce a 1000 word creative essay set somewhere in the local area. This year there were over 450 entries from all over the Borough; Ellie’s story was in the top 20. Last Friday she was invited to join all the other successful young writers at the Awards Ceremony to receive her prize from Councillor Ellacott, outgoing Deputy Mayor and one of the competition’s supporters.
