Holland Hockey Tour

This year’s Holland Hockey tour saw 36 girls training and playing in some extremely hot conditions. They all handled the challenging conditions superbly, working hard on their game and making great improvement on the pitch both as individuals and as a team. We look forward to seeing how they get on as the season gets underway.

Silver medals in the summer

Congratulations to Amy W on being selected for England Hockey’s Futures Cup where players from all over the country compete over the course of a week under the watchful eye of England selectors. Amy represented the South with Saxon Tigers and who played well throughout and were rewarded with a silver medal in the final.

Throughout the year Amy has been studying for a Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) with England Hockey and as part of this, in the summer, she played for England White in a Home Nations international tournament. They played a series of matches, the highlight of which was beating Scotland 5-0, qualifying them for the final in which they won the silver medal.
