Onjali Raúf is an author and was the winner of the 2019 Blue Peter Book Award with her last book. She was also the overall winner of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2019, and was nominated for the Carnegie Medal Children’s Book Award. Onjali read one of Hugo’s poems when she was visiting Cranmore School. She liked it so much that she asked if she could use a line as the foreword of her new book, The Star outside my window, which was released in bookshops on Thursday 3 October.
Onjali has also invited Hugo to the book launch in London on Friday 25 October and has asked him to read his poem out to the audience.
