Winter House Sports

The first House event of the term – Winter House Sports, took place at a wet and windy Hartswood. Following the postponement of the first day due to heavy rain, Third Form and above headed out for a full day of rugby and hockey.

There were many close matches with a number of year groups ending in joint positions. Congratulations to all the students for playing with true House spirit despite the weather. Year group winners of hockey were:

• Third Form: Williamson
• Fourth Form: Cranston
• Seniors: Williamson

Overall standing for hockey before the juniors play are:

• Fourth: Bird
• Third: Hodgson
• Second: Cranston
• First: Williamson

In the Rugby competitions the score lines were close and every house won a year group competition.

• Third Form: Cranston
• Fourth Form: Bird
• Fifth Form: Williamson
• Seniors: joint Cranston and Hodgson

• Joint Second: Hodgson and Williamson
• Fourth Bird (only one point behind)
