House Singing
This week saw the return of the annual and much anticipated House Singing event in which each house performed a harmony and unison song. The harmonies impressed the whole school and the Sixth Formers from all Houses must be congratulated on their efforts in pitting them together. All the harmonies received a range of compliments from our adjudicator Andrew Rees and the win was eventually awarded to Cranston for their mashup of Man in the Mirror and I want you back which was brilliantly performed with humour, musicianship and a singing snow leopard!
The unison songs were performed with gusto and enthusiasm. Bird sang Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, Cranston a mix of 500 miles and Believer, Hodgson sang Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen and Williamson I’m a Believer by the Monkees. In a very close contest Bird were eventually crowed the unison winners for their efforts.
When scores from both the harmony and unison were added together the final standings were: 4th Hodgson, 3rd Williamson, 2nd Cranston and 1st by ½ a point Bird.
