Review of the 2019 Cathedral Tour to Worcester, Hereford & Great Malvern over October half term

Choral singing has been a central practice at Reigate Grammar School since its opening, and the 2019 Cathedral Tour upheld the tradition. Around forty RGS students ranging from First Form to Upper Sixth Form were brought together in unison under the direction of Mrs Glynne-Jones.

Following the performance at Worcester Cathedral they sang evensong at Hereford, the beautiful sound paying homage to the surroundings, graced with the organ-playing of Mr Hare.

After an outward-bound day of climbing and archery, the tour concluded perfectly with a stunning performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria at Malvern Priory, epitomizing the musical talent at RGS.
