Lecture by best selling author, Tim Marshall

Best selling author, Tim Marshall visited RGS where he addressed an audience of 300 from RGS and other local schools about his book Divided: Why we are living in an age of walls. He chose examples of key ‘walls’ around the world, some concrete some virtual and explained both why we need them but also why they cause conflict. He covered many of the key concepts in the geography curriculum such as globalisation, interdependence, climate change and geopolitics.

The lecture provided food for thought for a range of subjects including Economics, Politics and History and was particularly pertinent in these uncertain political times.
