British Biathlon Championships Success
Six RGS students travelled to Nottingham for the British Biathlon Championships, having qualified through earlier biathlons in October, competing in a run and swim to earn points and ultimately a placing. All entrants either held or improved on their qualifying placing so should be very proud of their efforts.
On the Saturday theU12 boys (Sam A (10th) and Barney M (44th) did exceptionally well in their first national competition and really enjoyed the experience. On Sunday it was the turn of the U13’s and above with again another successful day. Our U15 boys Morgan C (26th) and Lukas K (28th) performed well to achieve their top 30 placings. Eva M held her qualifying position of 2nd with a PB in the pool and a four second improvement on the run. Finally Gabi H swam and ran incredibly well to place 1st and be crowned the U14 British Biathlon Champion.
Congratulations from all at RGS. We look forward to finding out who has qualified for the school competition when the rankings are released in January.
