Girls’ Hockey Update

As always, RGS’s girls’ hockey squads have been training hard and playing brilliantly in a large number of competitions against many strong opposition teams. The early morning and after school training sessions are reaping rewards:

U14 Surrey Champions and through to the South of England finals

The U14s recently secured the title of Surrey Champions and last week competed against teams in the South of England placing first. Their next step is the South of England finals which takes place next week where they have the opportunity to qualify for the national finals. Good luck girls!

U15 Surrey Champions

The girls’ U15 squad put in a series of great performances on Monday during the Surrey county tournament and were rewarded with an incredible win in the final. This superb achievement means that for the fourth year in a row they are Surrey Champions!

U18 Indoor team through to South of England final

The U18s have competed in two regional rounds of prelims and heats and have been successful in both, earning themselves a place in the South of England final next weekend. They have worked extremely hard, training in early morning sessions before school and we wish them well and good luck in this next round.
