We are Surrey’s top co-ed school!
On November 24 2019, The Sunday Times published its annual Parent Power supplement of the highest-achieving secondary schools nationwide and by region.
Reigate Grammar School is one of the top 50 independent secondary schools in the UK, taking the 48th spot, up from 55th in 2018. We are 18th in the Southeast region (which has more independent schools than any other) and the highest ranked co-educational school in our county.
Headmaster Shaun Fenton congratulated the entire Reigatian community on a considerable success story:
“While we know that a great education is about so much more than grades, it is nonetheless very pleasing to see ourselves featuring so impressively in nationwide and regional tables.
As a day school, our relative position locally is significant, so I am delighted to see that we are the best performing co-educational school in the county of Surrey, and are one of the top 20 schools in the highly competitive Southeast region.
2019 has been a great year for Reigatians in terms of exam results and our many and varied achievements beyond the classroom, and I look forward enormously to seeing what 2020 brings.”
Parent Power’s league tables are compiled by editor Alastair McCall using schools’ results from that year at both A Level and GCSE.
