Reigate and Banstead Young Sportsperson and Young Sports Volunteer of the Year

Allie A was recently invited to the Reigate and Banstead Sports Awards having being shortlisted for the Young Sportsperson of the Year award, which she won! Allie will now be put forward for the Surrey Young Sportsperson of the Year.

Allie was nominated for her achievements over the past year in basketball, including being the best U13 female shooter in the country (after winning Basketball England’s Aspire shooting contest in Manchester) and for being made Captain of the U13 girls’ Aspire team. She has also just been picked to join Basketball England girls’ U15 aspire programme which will run over the coming season.

As well as Allie’s achievement, Benjamin T was awarded the Young Sports Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition for the many hours he has committed to planning and delivering sessions to encourage children of all abilities to play sport.
