Twins Jos and Alex strike gold

Twin brothers Jos and Alex both achieved their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards whilst collecting some golden grades between them in their A Level results. Jos secured his A Levels in Economics, Maths and Physics and goes off to study Business and Management, with a year abroad, at the University of Durham, whilst twin brother Alex studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths and is looking forward to studying Economics, with a year abroad, at the University of Bristol.

The twins were indispensable members of the RGS Charity Committee and organised a football match in support of Soccer Aid’s Playground Challenge, an event that raised money for UNICEF. About their work on the Charity Committee, they said:

“It was really rewarding, and a great opportunity to give back. A lot of schools don’t offer this.”

Jos and Alex look forward to going off to university. The twin brothers were both really thankful to the teachers for their hard work saying:

“It is a team effort. Yes, we got the results, but we couldn’t have done it without their support”

About the current COVID situation, Jos said:

“We stayed positive, and tried to ride the wave. We were all in the same boat. You can’t get hung up on it.”

The brothers plan to celebrate by going for lunch with their parents and then seeing their friends in a pub this evening.
