15 RGS Students Selected to Represent Surrey CCC

Just before half-term, Surrey County Cricket Club finalised its selections for County Age Group Squads. A total of 15 RGS students have been selected.

A number of students had already been involved within both the boys and girls programmes, whilst some had to trial to get in. All students have been working hard on their game during lockdown, throughout the shortened club season, and in some cases, getting some extra practice in before their trials. These students will be training over the winter (post-lockdown) within their squads, and will then have the opportunity to represent the County next summer. We look forward to continuing seeing their development over the coming year, and particularly the impact that they will be having on our school cricket programme.

Congratulations to Sam A, Tommy B, Sam B, Alex B, Louis D, Ranvir G, Rohan K, Bertie M and Sam R, all selected for Surrey CCC County Age Group Boys Squads.

Congratulations to Emily B, Lily F, Rosie F, Lucy H, Amelia H and Lauren P, all selected for Surrey CCC County Age Group Girls Squads. In addition, Emily B, Lily F and Rosie F have also been selected for Surrey CCC Emerging Player Pathway which is a small squad of 20 players selected from the County age groups U13 to U17 squads.
