Surrey’s top co-ed school

On November 29 2020, The Sunday Times published its annual Parent Power supplement of the highest-achieving secondary schools nationwide and by region. Reigate Grammar School is once again one of the top 50 independent secondary schools in the UK, retaining 48th position.  We are 18th in the Southeast region (which has more independent schools than any other), the highest ranked co-educational school in the county and in the top five co-ed day schools in the country.

Headmaster Shaun Fenton congratulated the entire Reigatian community on a considerable success story:

“While we know that a great education is about so much more than grades, it is nonetheless very pleasing to see ourselves featuring so impressively in nationwide and regional tables.

As a day school, our relative position locally is significant, so I am delighted to see that we are the best performing co-educational school in the county of Surrey, and are one of the top 20 schools in the highly competitive Southeast region.”

Parent Power’s league tables are compiled by editor Alastair McCall, ordinarily using schools’ results from that year at both A Level and GCSE. For 2020, results were based on 2019 rankings.
