RGS shortlisted for three TES Independent School Awards
RGS has been shortlisted for three categories in the prestigious TES Independent School Awards 2021.
Each year, the Times Education Supplement (TES) Awards celebrate the very best initiatives and programmes in place at independent schools across the country. It has been revealed that Reigate Grammar School has been shortlisted for the Senior School of the Year Award for the fourth year running. In addition to this RGS has also been shortlisted for Community Initiative of the Year for the #RGSWeCare programme as well as Marketing Campaign of the Year by offering hope and moral leadership in a time of crisis.
With over 2000 independent schools eligible for these awards, being shortlisted for all three, including School of the Year, is a remarkable honour as it takes into account everything that goes into a great education. This follows the achievement of being named School of the Year 2020-2021 by Tatler, one of the most prestigious school reviewers operating across the sector.
Headmaster Shaun Fenton said:
“Wow! What an achievement after a tough year for all schools. We never stop our journey to continuously improve at RGS and being recognised for these awards demonstrates that. I am so proud to be the Headmaster of Reigate Grammar School and over the last few weeks, I have been delighted to see the school full of smiling children and buzzing with activity once again.”
Tes editor Jon Severs said:
“After a difficult year for all schools, it is an honour to celebrate the Tes Independent School awards, not only to celebrate excellent practice but to ensure that practice is shared far and wide. We received an unparalleled number of entries this year, which is testament to the great work all have done during the pandemic. The schools that have been shortlisted should be proud – it’s a remarkable achievement”
