Sixth Formers enjoy a Winter Formal celebration

The winter formal was a chance for both Sixth Form year groups to celebrate together in style at the amazing Denbies estate in Dorking.  It was also a celebration for the Upper Sixth Form after finishing their recent A Level mock exams.  The dress code was black tie, and the students went above and beyond with their outfits, including some super fetching powder blue and leopard print dinner jackets on display.   Everyone was treated to a mocktail reception on arrival, before getting stuck into a variety of different attractions including a photobooth, indoor mini-golf and basketball.  Students were then ushered into the beautifully decorated main hall, where they were treated to a delicious two course dinner.  Whilst they ate, they were entertained by the incredible magician Richard Kettle, who’s table magic tricks bought about cries of astonishment from all, including the Deputy Heads of school!  In addition, the amazing Dave Groves, a caricaturist, went table to table, capturing some hilarious cartoon images of students and staff alike.  The evening ended on the dancefloor, where students were treated to a final surprise; a live Saxophonist (the fabulous Missy B) playing along with the DJ.  A great time was had by all, and we are already looking forward to our next event.
