Bridging the Gap!

As a school community alongside RGS Vietnam, we are “Bridging the Gap” between the schools by walking, running, cycling, or even swimming the distance between the two schools in aid of Save the Children with money going towards those affected by the Turkey and Syria earthquake and those in Ukraine. The student Heads of School in both Reigate and Hanoi have teamed up to organise this exciting fundraising opportunity to highlight that when we work together, regardless of borders, our global village and our wider community can benefit hugely.

This week in House assemblies students took part in clocking up the mileage. Any distance can count – please track yours and add to this form to include it in our total.  Everyone distance helps!

Between RGS Vietnam and RGS UK, we are looking to walk the distance to Vietnam – over 10,000 km – and raise money as we go for Save the Children. This is anything from your walk to school, a 5K run on the weekend, to even covering multiple kilometres every day – any distance matters. As the world becomes a more global village, the two student bodies are trying to forge a link that will further increase the global impact RGS students can have beyond the school gates.

Lots of people are getting involved – students, friends, families, and even staff! So please go and encourage anyone at home to get involved too.  You can donate on the Just Giving page here, and track the progress on Strava here.

Please keep checking your Strava pages for exciting announcements and to follow our progress of this wonderful student-led challenge.
