National Hockey Success for RGS!
Two year groups out of a possible three made the National Finals in the Boys Independent Schools Hockey Competition. The U13 and U19 boys followed in the footsteps of the RGS girls who fielded all three teams in the finals for the first time and made it an unprecedented five out of six year groups across boys and girls at the finals day – a record for any school in the competition’s history.
The U13 Boys won their National Final against Repton Preparatory School. They scored five goals in both the semi-final and final to become the first RGS boys hockey team to win a National title. And the U19s also reached the National Final having seen off Millfield School and Norwich School in their group to become runners up.
The future of RGS sport is bright! Well done to all those involved.
