The Castle: Autumn 2024
We are delighted to welcome you to the Autumn edition of The Castle! Whatever your interests may be, we’re confident you’ll find something that captures your imagination within these pages. From thought-provoking opinion pieces to festive Christmas recipes and much more, our talented writers have worked tirelessly to create content we’re thrilled to share with you.
This term, our community has warmly embraced the First Form, along with new students joining in the Third Form and Lower Sixth. We hope they’ve settled in well and are already making the most of the fantastic opportunities that RGS has to offer.
It’s also wonderful to see so many familiar faces returning after a well-earned summer break. A special congratulations goes to the Lower Sixth on their impressive GCSE results—we hope they’re excited for the challenges and opportunities of A-level study.
This term has been a tremendous success, with countless achievements in both sport and music to celebrate. As we look ahead, the excitement of our iconic House Singing Competition awaits, along with the festive lead-up to Christmas. For those preparing for January mocks, we wish you the very best of luck. And to everyone else, we hope the coming weeks are filled with joy and anticipation as the holiday season approaches.
From all of us on the editorial team, we wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy this edition of The Castle!
