Spanish Exchange to La Coruña, on La Costa Verde of Galicia

During the Easter holiday 23 Fourth Form students went to La Coruña, on La Costa Verde of Galicia, for a six day exchange experience. Organised activities included a day trip to the beautiful and historic city of Santiago de Compostela, a famous Pilgrimage destination. Students also enjoyed a visit to La Torre de Hércules, the oldest working Roman lighthouse in the world, and a Science museum and Planetarium. Chocolate y Churros were had in the famous Bonilla Churrería and students went bowling and to the Corte Inglés shopping centre. The students spent one full day in the Maristas school and witnessed the many differences between school life in England and in Spain. Free time was spent with the families and each student had a slightly different experience and plenty of opportunities to practise their Spanish. ¡Lo pasamos bomba! – we had a great time!
