Pupils are normally admitted to Reigate Grammar School at the ages of 11, 13 or 16, although spaces may occasionally occur at other ages. New pupils normally enter the school in September.

  • The majority of our pupils enter at age 11 (Year 7). They will come from a mixture of local primary and preparatory schools. We usually take about 160 pupils at age 11.
  • A small number of pupils enter the school at age 13 (Year 9), usually from prep schools, or because they have moved into the area.
  • We also accept pupils into the Sixth Form (Year 12). There is no set number of places.

Registration
Parents may register a child at any time. There is a registration fee (non-returnable) of £150 for UK applications or £200 for overseas, ad hoc or late applications which will be requested at as part of the online application. Acceptance of this fee does not guarantee the offer of a place.

If you have a query or simply would prefer to talk to someone about admissions please contact Mrs Marie Walker, Admissions Team (tel: 01737 222231, email admissions@reigategrammar.org ) who will be very pleased to answer your questions and walk you through the process. Applying and settling in to senior school is a big step for a family and we aim to do all we can to make this a gentle and easy journey.

Supplementary/Late Applications
We will always do our best to help with supplementary/late applications into Year 7, 8, 9 or 12. In these circumstances the assessment process may vary at the discretion of the Headmaster. Applications received late or beyond the published entry points will incur an additional £50 application fee. Please contact Admissions for more information.
