On Sunday RGS hosted twenty-four schools at RGS Hartswood during the Reigate U14 Sevens tournament. RGS’s team qualified as top seeds in the bowl and then achieved victories over Bedford School in the quarter-final, Colfe’s in the semi-final and a Judd in a very close final, winning 21-19.

On Monday the U13A team travelled to City of London Freemen’s School for a competitive day of Sevens and the U13B team to St John’s where they won the B tournament with victories over Hampton and St John’s being the highlights. The U12s took part in their first competitive experience of Sevens with the A and B teams at the St John’s festival. A great learning experience in preparation for the Surrey U12s tournament which takes place today at Wimbledon College.

Thursday was the inaugural Surrey U18 girls’ rugby Sevens tournament which was hosted by Cobham RFC. The RGS girls team progressed through the tournament undefeated and produced some outstanding play. This was fantastic preparation for the national Sevens tournament which takes place next Friday at Rosslyn Park.
