Broadfield House Transformed for the Sold-Out Love + Information

Broadfield House was transformed last week into the venue for the latest sold-out production from the Drama Department.

Using the internationally renowned theatre company ‘Punchdrunk’ as an inspiration, students and staff created an immersive, ‘site-sympathetic’ experience for the audience, which included an escape room, a dog, a ‘selfie station’ and all fifty seven scenes from Caryl Churchill’s 2012 play ‘Love + Information’.

A Level Drama students were especially pleased to see this play performed, as it is a set text for their exam this summer. Amongst the ensemble cast were Hannah G and Tom B, who were appearing in their final school production. Hannah has been part of an incredible eleven productions during her time at RGS, and Tom has been in four since joining in the lower sixth. We will miss them both hugely, and thank them for their dedication, hard work and commitment.

The show also featured performances from Mr Morgan, Ms Fullalove and Mrs Lawson, and we hope this won’t be the last we see of them!

The evening was started and ended by Omar A, Oscar L-D and Annis W, better known as the band Artaca. Look out for their debut album, which is released on Spotify next month.
