Alexander and Lukas K back to racing
After a long break, Alexander and Lukas K are back racing in triathlon events, most recently at the Crystal Palace Duathlon. While the weather was not kind, the field of this popular and competitive event was strong.
First Form student Alexander competed in the TriStar 2 category, running 1.6km, cycling 4.5km and finishing with another 600m run. He completed the race in 23:10, just missing out on the top half male field in his age group category.
His elder brother, Fourth Form student Lukas, finished a strong 4th out of 30 athletes in the Youth category – completing the 2km run, 11km bike and 2km run in 38:16. He coincidentally beat his mom – best female on the day and 4th overall in the Adult Super Sprint competition (the same distance as the Youth race) by nearly 5 minutes!
All three are looking forward to competing at the AJ Bell 2021 World Triathlon Event in Leeds on Saturday 5 June.
