RGS on the BBC!
Exciting times at RGS today with students appearing on both national radio and TV!
Mahin U and Nicole J initially appeared on this morning’s Radio Four Today Programme. They were subsequently interviewed in the Headmaster’s Study for the BBC National News which aired at one o’clock, and is to be repeated at six o’clock this evening. Mahin and Nicole are compelling advocates for the opportunities and culture of excellence that they are able to enjoy here at Reigate Grammar School.
It is always fun when the TV cameras turn up but today’s interviews had a serious point as well. They relate to a national campaign that our Headmaster, Mr Shaun Fenton, is helping to lead, which is asking for government support to help fund bursary places at top independent schools such as Reigate Grammar School.
Nicole said “I feel I’m in an environment [at RGS] where everyone wants to do really well and everyone is trying to do the best they can do.”
